Kettlebell Training at Solent

Russian Kettlebell training was the order of the day on Wednesday 31st October, as a group of REPs certified instructors and personal trainers, many from the BSc Fitness & Personal Training and BA Fitness Management & Personal Training courses at Solent completed a REPs accredited Dynamic Kettlebell Training course.

Course tutor Marcus Sanger added, "despite a physically challenging day, everyone in attendance performed extremely well and coped with the challenges posed by the Kettlebell. It's a tricky piece of kit to get to grips with, more so because unlike dumbbells or barbells, the centre of mass is positioned away from the grip".

Alex Bond, a final year student commented, "it was a fantastic day that enabled me to learn a lot of new exercises. Practising and teaching was really useful and helped build my confidence in delivering kettlebell exercises".

Kettlebell training is another excellent training tool and for those who are really keen, Kettlebell competitions or Girevoy Sport maybe the next step.
