Paralympic Rugby Preparations on Track

With 91 days to go until the Paralympic games begin, Aaron Phipps, GB wheelchair rugby's leading scorer, is back training at Southampton Solent University working with the staff and students from the BSc Applied Sport Science. With the Canada Cup looming and preparation for September both in the focus of Aaron's mind he is seen here receiving feedback on his latest testing and training results from Dr Stewart Bruce-Low, course leader for the BSc Applied Sport Science. 

Dr Bruce-Low reported "We are delighted with Aaron's progress, although there is still a great deal of work to be done in preparation for London, Aaron has certainly got the right attributes to be physically and mentally prepared for the Paralympics. Aaron is an incredibly dedicated athlete that simply can't wait to compete in London. It's our job to ensure he is physically prepared to compete against the best teams in the world, and we are confident if we continue to progress at the rate we have done then Aaron will be ready for the main event in September."
